Welcome to e-Tips!
Welcome to the January e-Tips brought to you by My Horse University and eXtension. Start the 2009 new year by making a resolution to manage your horse in an environmentally friendly way. In the next three months we will feature articles and free webcasts on best management practices for horse facilities, pastures and manure. Dr. Jenifer Nadeau from the University of Connecticut leads the webcast series with an Introduction to Environmentally Friendly Horse Management on January 13th at 7 p.m. EST. The majority of horse owners enjoy spending time outside and are concerned about the environment. "This webcast will provide a variety of ideas about ways in which horse owners can help protect the environment in regards to pasture management, manure management, runoff management, stream and riverbank management, and facility management," says Nadeau.
