EDUCATIONAL PARTNERSHIP CREATED TO OFFER ADDITIONAL ONLINE RESOURCES FOR EQUINE ENTHUSIASTS
September 15, 2006- Michigan State University’s (MSU) My Horse University and the National eXtension Initiative’s Pioneer Community of Practice known as HorseQuest will work together to create and develop new online learning experiences for horse professionals and equine enthusiasts.
“The partnership gives My Horse University access to equine extension specialists across the nation to serve as experts for our courses and webcasts,” says Dr. Christine Skelly, an equine extension specialist with MSU’s Department of Animal Science, “as well as allows us national exposure with other states’ horse extension clientele.”
My Horse University and HorseQuest’s national equine resource team will bring the research and knowledge of the experts online to provide a comprehensive and convenient learning experience to horse enthusiasts around the world.
“HorseQuest is excited to partner with My Horse University because we know that the instruction provided in this online program is research-based and peer reviewed by experts in the equine field,” says Ashley Griffin, HorseQuest’s Executive Co-chair and Content Design Leader for the eXtension Initiative, “through this partnership, we are able to bring quality equine education to people all over the world who can learn in the convenience of their homes through the Internet.”
